Pioneer Natural Resources laid off more than 200 workers today – some 25% of its workforce.

Seventy employees in the Permian Basin were cut and 160 at corporate headquarters in Irving, according to the Dallas Morning News.

That’s on top of 300 workers who took a buyout this year.

Pioneer is working to cut $100M from it’s overhead.
