Oil Executives Making Big Money Again, Will it Trickle Down 🤔

Two years ago, compensation for Houston’s wealthiest executives declined. Houston’s largest companies were roiled by the worst oil bust in a generation. Earnings fell, stock prices tanked and total compensation for chief executive officers, which include assets dependent on stock prices, actually fell in 2016.

Average compensation among the 500 highest-paid executives in Houston fell by 9 percent that year, according to data compiled by Longnecker & Associates, a consulting firm.
