The two construction workers who died in Tuesday’s 4/16/19 trench collapse in Windsor Colorado have been identified.

The Weld County coroner identified the deceased as Cristopher Lee Ramirez, 26, of Boulder, and Jorge Baez Valadez, 41, of Denver.
The two were in a 15-foot deep trench when it collapsed at 2:19 p.m. at a house under construction at 925 Camberly Drive in northwest Windsor. They were tying the house’s sewer and water lines to Windsor’s lines when the collapse happened. Backhoe Excavating from Firestone was doing the excavation work. [read more]
