An oilfield facility in South Texas near the community of Peggy which is located just north of Three Rivers caught fire around noon on Tuesday. There were reported explosions and huge flames seen at the facility.
Due to the massive size of the fire and clouds of black smoke, nearby roads were reported closed. Local oilfield truck driver Marcus Posada from Beeville TX said he felt intense heat and could see the fire was out of control as he drove by.
It is not clear at this time what started this inferno or who ownes this facility. This is a developing story, please check back for more updates.
